One item discussed at lor most recent ukulele meeting was the level of activity the group wanted during this holiday season,

We decided that we did want to continue to have weekly meetings through the remaining three Thursdays in December.  We recognize that there will be days that folks will be busy with holiday activities and the attendance might be a bit lower than normal, but that on balance, we should continue to meet.

So plan on the club meeting the rest of the month at our regular time but for December (and likely continuing into next year) at the Burgundy Place retirement facility (89th and S. Lewis).

Cancer Center of America

Our next club meeting will be in the dining area of the Cancer Center, 81st and 169 next Thursday, at 6:30.

Storey Oaks gig

A few of us went to the Storey Oaks memory care center over the Thanksgiving weekend.  A very receptive audience.   Will probably go there again some time in the future.

We have been invited to do this Thursday's jam at a retirement community.  Same time (6:30), same fun, different place.

We had a pretty good night at the Cancer Center October 27th..  Lots of spooky songs played by spookie people.

We are back to our normal schedule of Thursday's club jam at 6:30 PM at the Saied Music store at 9318 E 71 St.  (just west of Mingo).  Everyone is welcome.  The exception is that on the second Thursday of the month we are meeting at the Tapestry retirement village for our open mike night and jam.  Our next OMN is October 13.

Wednesday, 27 July 2016, Tiki Day, Decopolis and Art Deco Museum, 502 S, Boston. 7pm-9pm. Not performing, Just attending unless you've made arrangements with them.

Thursday, 28 July 2016, Tulsa Ukulele Club meeting at Saied Music South. 6:30pm - 8:30pm. Hawaiian song rehearsal and jam.

Friday, 29 July 2016, Spotlight Theater. Red Hot Mama Fights Cancer,  6:15pm - ??? We will perform three or four Hawaiian songs.

16 June 2016 meeting:

Jam like celebrities with ukuleles at Saied Music South this week. Bring your Daily Ukulele Books and any other material you wish to share.

Tonight's Meeting:

We will meet at Saied Music on 71st street. We are going to meet on the floor of the main store by the pianos. We are going to start off with Open No Mic and finish with jamming. I hope to see everyone there.

I want to thank all the folks who put forth the effort to prepare a song or two for the open mike night last Thursday.  We had almost 100% of the attendees step up to the mike.  Cap'n would have been very proud of all of you, for as most of you know, the OMN was his baby.

The next OMN will be June 9, at a location to be determined.  The Tapestry is busy that evening so we are working on some options and will keep you up to date.

The rest of the jam meetings this month and in June will be in the Saied room.
